Royal Shakespeare Theatre Rooftop Restaurant
We had a few options on what we could use the vouchers for and opted for a lunch time dinner from the main menu, they were very flexible on what we could use the vouchers on.
We were fortunate with the weather when we went, it was sunny and warm. Whilst I think the restaurant would be good in all weathers I think it made part of it, considering it was our first time going too, that it was lovely weather because the first impact you get of the place is the amazing views. The restaurant has large glass windows with a balcony with amazing views of Stratford. We were sat indoors but by open windows overlooking the river which was perfect for us. I was impressed before I’d even gotten to the food!
The food itself didn’t let the place down, Pete had a tagine starter, a fish & chips main and cheesecake for desert and I had roast beef main and chocolate moose for desert along with a gin cocktail, all of which we thoroughly enjoyed.
RSC Rooftop tip: if you get the opportunity, go to the balcony even if you aren’t sat out there, the views are amazing and it’s worth a look.
The decor of the place was very modern with a few props here and there from the theatre which I thought made the place quite unique.
It is somewhere we would both go back to again whether it be to pop in for afternoon tea or for a meal.
