Little Italy Bistro

20 October

One of my birthday presents this year was a voucher to eat out at the Little Italy Bistro in Solihull. I absolutely love Italian food so was excited about going. The voucher was for two people so we decided it would be lovely to dress up a bit and have a date night there.

The restaurant was easy to find and is in what looked like a lovely area of Solihull. The staff were friendly from the moment we walked in. It had quite a cosy tone to the place and decorated beautifully with a beautiful statement wall, other artwork in theme with the restaurant and even a gladiator helmet. It was the sort of place where we didn’t look odd for having dressed up but there were also people there that looked more casual but still didn’t look out of place.

Because we were there with the voucher we had a different menu to the main menu but it still had a decent amount of choices on. I went for a meatball starter, salmon pasta and lemon dessert and Pete opted for calamari starter, lasagne main and a chocolate desert. All of it was cooked really well, we each tried some of each other’s so got to try a bit of everything. The service was really good too, attentive without hanging over you or rushing you.

Little Italy Bistro tip: We are quite early eaters so it was fairly quiet when we went but got busier as the evenin went on so I would recommend booking.

Overall we really enjoyed eating out there and would go again.
